Floor repair after widening the opening
Whoa Nelly! We gots to hold up a little bit here now because we forgot to show you an integral component of our French Door Installation. When we widened that opening and removed part of the wall, we also left ourselves with a big hole in the hardwood floor. And that hole requires fixin' cause Uncle Jerry leaves no stone unturned! How did we do it? Move on to the next frame where all will be revealed. |

Well we stole a little bit of flooring from a place hidden from sight. Where, prey tell! Why the closet, of course. I will replace the missing hardwood from the closet with a little plywood stained to match the existing floor and no one will know the better.

Ok, we have the new flooring installed but you can still see the outline of the old wall on the surrounding flooring. We need to remove all evidence from the scene of the crime and make this appear to be original so only the highly trained eye could detect the change.

Enter Sandman!
And in comes the Sandman, Mike. Notice that fine technique as he begins the evidence removal project. Soon the floor will appear as one continuous whole and all will be right in the world.

And how about that! Obviously, you saw the photos from start to finish but if you were just walking in the room for the first time, you would probably never know the better that once no floor existed where floor can be found now.
