Normally I would draw or chalk a line on the floor to start but as you can see I already had imprint lines from the previous tiles and used as a guide to keep the new tiles straight.

For a nicer and finish and less cutting of the ceramic tiles I am cutting the bottom of the door trim so the new tile will fit underneath. Remember to allow enough space for the tile and the adhesive that holds the tile in place. For this allowance I used a couple of spacers laying flat with the tile on top, marked a line on the door trim and cut off the wood trim with a small hand saw.

Here's what it should look like when it is finally put in place. I can use caulk to fill in any gaps at the bottom of the trim after the tile has been installed...

My floor is as clean as it can be and now it's time to start mixing the thin-set adhesive. I mixed the Mega Bond with water using a paint stirrer and a drill. Note: add water slowly and don't mix more the you think you will use for the area you are going to tile...
